**What You Will Achieve**

As **Senior Manager, Network Reliability Engineering,** you will play a critical role in maintaining network service availability and minimizing service disruptions. Working with our Service provider and Global Command Center, you will drive high impacting network incidents as a technical lead. You will also play a crucial role in transforming traditional reactive network management into a proactive/predictive, data-driven strategy that avoids downtime and improves user experience. This role combines leadership, technical expertise, and strategic thinking to drive improvements in network reliability, incident management, and workflow automation.

**How You Will Achieve It**

+ Embed core principles and practices of Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) in the delivery of network services. These services include LAN, WAN, Wireless, DDI, Security, and IPT.

+ Assume a technical leadership role on major outages or planned events that impact the services in question. Collaborate with the Command Center to ensure processes are optimized for management of critical incidents including escalation matrices, troubleshooting plans and impact statements.

+ Lead post-mortems for major events pertaining to the service. Ensure that learnings from service failures are identified and that action plans are develop and executed upon.

+ Continuously analyze service data to identify improvement opportunities. Opportunities will be assessed on their potential to remove manual effort ('toil'), improve reliability, and enhance customer experience. Maintain a backlog of prioritized opportunities.

+ Drive a Predictive Operations focus at Network Operations, where emphasis is placed on identifying and taking action to mitigate potential outages before they become business interruptions.

+ Work closely with vendors and service provider to drive continuous service improvements.

+ Develop and maintain monitoring artefacts that allow for proactive and pre-emptive monitoring of services, with an objective of avoiding service disruptions. Partner closely with Command Center to integrate the artefacts and associated processes into their day-to-day operations.

+ Develop Dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights into network availability, reliability, and operational efficiency.

+ Collaborate closely with Product Owners for Network products. This will include understanding roadmaps, evaluating automation and improvement opportunities, and collaborating to ensure robust practices for turnover to operations.

+ Champion the adoption of new technologies and methodologies that improve operational efficiency and network performance.

+ Drive the automation of operational tasks to reduce manual effort, minimize errors, and accelerate response times.

+ Collaborate with Hosting SREs to align network operations strategies with overall business goals.

+ In terms of capacity planning, analyze traffic patterns, usage trends, and network performance metrics to forecast future needs and work with Engineering teams to implement necessary upgrades.

+ Participate in applicable inspections or audits and execute remediation plans for any identified deficiencies.

**Qualifications** **Must-Have**

+ Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

+ 6+ years of relevant experience in enterprise network operations settings.

+ Proficiency in networking protocols such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, and others.

+ Understanding of network security principles and practices, including firewalls, VPN, IPS, and encryption.

+ Strong technical aptitudes, with demonstrated experience in network technologies outlined above. Exposure to Site Reliability Engineering principles and practices.

+ Keen data literacy, skilled at aggregating multiple data sources to drive insights and actions.

+ Poise in high-pressure situations, must have a track record of dealing with situations like major outages effectively.

+ Communicates in a succinct, accurate and timely fashion. Ability to effectively communicate technical issues/challenges to business recipients.

+ Proven ability to build and improve processes and workflows. Relentless focus on removing toil (manual effort) through process re-design and automation.

+ Candidate demonstrates a breadth of diverse leadership experiences and capabilities including: the ability to influence and collaborate with peers, develop and coach others, oversee and guide the work of other colleagues to achieve meaningful outcomes and create business impact.

+ As driving automation efforts is a core responsibility for this role, an understanding of software development concepts and coding concepts (python, Java) is preferred.

**Basic Function**

Work with the SAG (System Automation Group) team to design, document, and troubleshoot electro-mechanical equipment for test and calibration in worldwide operations.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities**

+ Lead the planning, design, and documentation of electro-mechanical test stands for the manufacturing of precision flow control instruments.

+ Develop and maintain documentation for new and existing systems, including developing CAD mechanical models, electrical and wiring schematics, P&IDs, network diagrams, I/O lists, and bills of materials.

Manufacturing Engineer Overview

The Manufacturing Engineer drives operational efficiency and product quality. This role focuses on optimizing manufacturing processes, troubleshooting challenges, and supporting continuous improvement efforts while collaborating with production teams.

Manufacturing Engineer Responsibilities

Production Planning: Develop cost estimates, job routings, and maintain capacity planning models. Coordinate with planning to meet customer needs.

Project Management: Lead projects focused on process improvement and cost reduction, ensuring alignment with customer goals.

Process Development: Design and improve manufacturing processes, create detailed work instructions, and reduce waste and cycle times.

Tooling & Equipment: Design, procure, and maintain tools and machinery; collaborate with vendors for upgrades.

Troubleshooting & Support: Provide technical support, train staff on new processes and equipment.

Continuous Improvement: Implement Lean Manufacturing principles and stay current with industry best practices.

Manufacturing Engineer Requirements

Site Reliability Engineer :

- Monitor, automate, and improve the reliability, performance, and availability of software systems

- Collaborate with DevOps engineers and other site reliability engineers to ensure system stability

Required Qualifications (Skills, Experience, Education, Certifications) :

- Experience with Windows Server operating systems and virtual machines (VMs) on Hyper-V

- Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation and system management

- Experience with AWS CloudWatch for monitoring and alerting

- Experience with Terraform

- Experience with configuration management tools, specifically Ansible

- Additional experience with Linux Server operating systems and administration will be a plus

- Strong SQL database management skills, including implementing high availability solutions through replication, clustering, or failover strategies

- Incident response and troubleshooting for infrastructure or database outages

- Experience using monitoring tools and analyzing logs for problem resolution

- MUST BE ABLE to work second shift hours
