    **JOB SUMMARY**

    **ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:**

    + Conducts fact development, investigation and collection of relevant information to assist the attorney in issue identification or strategy development as well as works with the Corporation’s managers to identify information to complete work related to reports, accreditation submissions, regulatory filings and court documents. Gathers appropriate documents in preparation of correspondence, regulatory filings, reports and court pleadings. Prepares summaries of factual issues.

    + Monitors particular legal or regulatory developments and engages in basic research, cite check and retrieval of laws, policies and regulations. Reviews research materials for new laws and regulations. Identifies and analyzes basic legal issues. Analyzes laws and regulations as they relate to the operations of the Corporation. Monitors Corporation’s compliance with governance documents, major contracts, licenses and other agreements.

    + Develops information for reviews, reports, accreditation submissions, regulatory filings and court documents. These documents are confidential and legal in nature and represent the Corporation’s responses to legal and regulatory requests for information.

    + Reviews contracts for specific provisions, identifies specific contracts or data required by the Corporation. Prepares minutes, and other relevant corporate governance information. Drafts corporate resolutions. Prepares form documents and basic contracts and regulatory filings.

    + May handle or supervise administrative functions of the law department, such as performing litigation database functions and ensuring the law library materials are updated.

    The Paralegal for the Gittis Legal Clinics provides paralegal and administrative support and helps to educate law students about working in a professional law office. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced, creative paralegal to participate in the training and preparation of law students for legal practice as well as to handle legal matters when students are unavailable.     Community Legal Services (CLS) is seeking a paralegal to work at CLS’s Medical-Legal Partnership (MLP) at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children, at 160 East Erie Avenue, in the Integrated Care for Kids partnership.

    The Integrated Care for Kids partnership is CLS’s fifth MLP, and formally launched in 2024. The partnership is focused on coordinating medical care, social services and supports, and legal services for children and youth with complex physical and behavioral health diagnoses and their families.

    The paralegal will work closely with the lead MLP attorney to provide legal advice and representation. The paralegal will be based at CLS’s office at 1410 West Erie Avenue, and will work at St. Christopher’s Hospital at least two days per week.

    The paralegal will join a dynamic team of MLP attorneys and paralegals who work on-site across the City of Philadelphia at CLS’s MLPs. While the paralegal will provide brief advice, referrals, and other representation on a broad range of legal issues, the paralegal will be formally co-located in CLS’s SSI Unit, helping families to access and maintain disability income for eligible children and youth.

    JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

    While the duties of the MLP paralegal will vary based on the needs of CLS’s MLPs and the SSI Unit, the position will involve:

    + Working closely with clinical and social work staff and community partners in the Integrated Care for Kids partnership to build trusting, collaborative, and respectful relationships;

    + Partnering with the MLP attorney to develop, adjust, and maintain systems for screening and identifying patients with legal issues;

    + Conducting in-person intake interviews at St. Christopher’s Hospital at least two days per week for patient families who are identified as having legal issues;

    + Responding to legal referrals from Integrated Care for Kids partners, and tracking referral outcomes consistently in CLS’s case management system;

    + Providing legal advice, referrals, and representation to patient families in the area of SSI disability law, as well as other legal areas as needed, under the close supervision of the MLP attorney;

    + Assisting the MLP attorney in identifying the training needs of the Integrated Care for Kids partners, and providing the training when appropriate;

    + Assisting the MLP attorney in identifying and executing new ways to address unmet legal needs among patient families, including through pop-up legal clinics, pro bono partnerships, and self-help materials; and

    + Collecting case outcome data and other data that demonstrates the success of the MLP and synthesizing or analyzing the data when needed.

    Fox Rothschild LLP is seeking a Taxation and Wealth Planning Paralegal with a minimum of eight (8) years of experience for our Blue Bell, PA office.

    **Primary Responsibilities**

    + Calendar management, including tax-related deadlines and client calls/meetings.

    + Preparation of Federal and State estate Tax Returns and Federal Gift Tax Returns.

    + Estate administration, including prepare and file probate documents, advise and respond to clients.

    + Trust administration, including prepare withdrawal right notices and appointments of successor trustees.

    + Prepare trust and estate accountings.

    + Draft simple wills and correspondence.

    + Apply for tax identification numbers.

    + Prepare and file deeds and related documents, review deed records.

    + Form entities with Secretary of State office.

    + Prepare corporate minutes and maintain minute books.

    + Calculate taxes, tax exemptions, and executor fees.

    + Basic research of local and state rules, federal statutes and IRS authority, provide written or verbal summary to the supervising attorney.
