**What you’ll need to succeed as a Diesel Mechanic at XPO**
Minimum qualifications:
+ 2 years of experience in tractor and trailer inspection and repair, a technical school degree with certification in heavy-duty truck/trailer maintenance
+ Obtain EPA HVAC Refrigerant Recovery and Recycling Certification within 90 days of hire (ASE, MACS or equivalent)
+ A valid driver’s license
+ Basic welding skills (Oxy/Acetylene, MIG and ARC) and mechanical skills
+ Basic hand tools required for heavy-duty trailer and tractor maintenance
+ Basic computer skills
+ Brake inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.25
+ Vehicle Inspection qualified as defined in the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration regulations, Section 396.19
+ Available to work a variety of shifts, including days, evenings, nights, and weekends
Preferred qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent work-related or military experience
+ Prior mechanical experience such as automotive or skilled trades
+ Previous or current ASE certifications

What you’ll do on a typical day:
+ Perform routine maintenance functions and adjustments on all types of class 6 through 8 diesel equipment, forklifts, and trailing equipment
+ Access any of the equipment to perform necessary maintenance, including inspecting and performing work in, on or under part of the equipment
+ Repair or rebuild all or parts of various equipment systems
+ Troubleshoot and diagnose equipment and component issues and perform repairs accordingly
+ Perform HVAC system repairs
+ Abide by DOT, EPA, Interstate Authority, OSHA and other rules and regulations
+ Conduct safety inspections on equipment and prepare safety documentation as needed
+ Maintain proficiency with equipment and technologies that enhance productivity
+ Move trailers throughout the property, operating a hostler in all types of weather
+ Enter job times and parts on repair orders to track activity
+ Operate specialized tooling and vehicles
+ Ensure the work area is always clean, safe, and organized
+ Interact with operations and shop management
Diesel Mechanics are required to:
+ Frequently lift up to 50 lbs. and occasionally lift more than 75 lbs.
+ Safely walk and stand for extended periods on various surfaces that may be uneven or slippery, including working outdoors in inclement weather
+ Reach (including above your head), bend, climb, push, pull, twist, squat and kneel
+ Walk and stand for extended periods on a loading dock that is not climate-controlled and may be slippery

Summary:
+ Cleans services and keeps in an aseptic and orderly state, assigned hospital areas, including patient rooms, office areas, treatment and utility areas, nurses stations, conference rooms, waiting rooms, public and private bathrooms, hallways, stairways, corridors, etc.
Responsibilities:
+ Cleans assigned areas with hospital approved germicidal detergent, supplies and equipment.
+ Cleans, sweeps, dusts, mops, buffs, scrubs and strips floors.
+ Washes walls, light fixtures, sills, banisters, baseboards, door, etc. in rooms, offices and elevators. Polishes brass and stainless as required.
+ Reports and malfunctions in mechanical equipment, i.e., beds, lights, etc., and any broken or scratched walls, doors, or furniture to supervisor.
+ Demonstrated ability to interact effectively with patients, visitors and all levels of hospital personnel. Shows courtesy, compassion, sensitivity and respect.
+ Moves furniture. Pushes or pulls loaded or empty carts.
+ Collects and disposes of trash; cleans and disinfect trash receptacles.
+ Damp dusts furniture; applies stain type polish and hand buffs furniture; arranges furniture in predetermined manner.
+ Cleans and makes up unoccupied beds as necessary.
+ Cleans and disinfects bathrooms, including sinks, bathtubs, showers, toilets, bathroom tile, etc. polished chrome fixtures replaces supplies of soap, towels, toilet tissue, etc.
+ Cleans and disinfects isolation rooms, including ceilings, lights, walls, floors, furniture and entire bathrooms; collects isolation linen and/or trash.
+ Maintains equipment at an acceptable level of cleanliness to include maintenance of janitorial cart and/or janitorial closet.
+ May work on varying shift schedule.
+ Uses effective interpersonal skills in all interactions.

**In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:**
+ Independently carry out the startup and commission of Branson Products as a Multi-Product Service Tech (ultrasonics, non-ultrasonics).
+ Conduct calibration, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
+ Conduct Controls and PLC troubleshooting with Branson engineering assistance.
+ Establish and develop a strong working relationship with customers by providing the best service and experience with your work.
+ Prepare and coordinate service calls to include gathering technical data and selecting necessary spare parts and tools.
+ Provide follow-up customer visits using service reports and direct communication with Service Manager.
+ Comply with all safety procedures and policies established.
+ Carry out site walkdowns, modifications and upgrades.

**For This Role, You Will Need:**
+ Strong electrical and mechanical skills.
+ Minimum of 2 years' experience troubleshooting and repairing electro-mechanical machines and components.
+ Technical aptitude to connect with customers via email, phone, and in-person.
+ Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, etc.).
+ Willing to travel approximately 75% (within country and region) - approximately half of this travel will be overnight.
**Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart:**
+ Associates or technical degree preferred.
+ 3 or more years of related experience.
+ Strong electrical technician experience, able to read wiring diagrams and troubleshoot systems to the component level.
+ Industrial automation experience.

Our compensation philosophy is simple: we pay a competitive base salary, within the local market in which we operate, and reward performance during our annual merit review process. The salary range for this role is $50,000 - $70,000 annually, commensurate with the skills, talent, capabilities, and experience each candidate brings to a role.
