**I. Job Summary**
Under general supervision, performs preventive maintenance services and inspects, diagnoses and repairs vehicles and equipment.
**II. Essential Duties and Responsibilities**
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Other minor duties may be assigned.
+ Works under limited supervision and selects from written instructions and established procedures to accomplish assigned tasks.
+ Performs repairs and assigned preventive maintenance services.
+ Performs inspection, diagnosis and repair of electrical, hydraulic, suspension, brake and air systems on vehicles and equipment.
+ Utilizes vehicle computer electronics systems to interpret failure modes to initiate or assign repairs.
+ Estimates time and material costs on vehicle repairs and requisitions new parts.
+ Performs all work within Standard Repair Times (SRTs).
+ Performs service calls for emergency breakdowns.
+ Conducts safety checks on vehicles.
+ Completes required paperwork utilizing fleet maintenance software program associated with repairing vehicles, documenting parts usage, and accounting for repair times.
+ Assists senior Mechanics in the completion of project work.
+ Reviews, completes or assigns repairs identified on Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports.
+ Maintains a clean, safe work area in compliance with Corporate / OSHA Standards, and performs all work in accordance with established safety procedures.

The Lube and Tire Technician at Monro or General Service Tech as we call it, is an entry level Automotive Technician position and a great way to start your career at Monro. Starting day 1 you will begin a comprehensive mechanic training program, covering all aspects of your new role. As a General Service Technician, you will be an essential team member, performing maintenance services on Guest vehicles. More importantly, you will be part of a team working together to deliver 5 Star Guest experiences, while using your technician skills to take care of people, their cars and ensure our guests have safe, reliable transportation.
Pay is based on experience plus, incentives (if applicable)
Responsibilities
+ Mechanic duties include changing, mounting, and installing tires
+ Wheel removal, tire repair and balance, tire patch/plug repairs
+ Quick lube type duties such as lubrication and oil change
+ Inspect and rotate tires
+ Basic automotive maintenance work such as battery installation
+ We will train you to do alignments, brake services, and scheduled maintenance services
Compensation: The hourly range for this role is $16.30 - $18,50. This role is eligible for additional compensation and incentives. Pay will be determined based on experience level.
Minimum Qualifications

+ Automotive experience
+ Own basic set of Mechanics tools or participate in tool purchase program

What you'll do:
As a Prototype Machinist- you will work with a variety of manual machines such as Mills and Lathes to create small quantities of custom medical devices.
+ Making Parts with Conversational CNC and Manual Machines: Can you work from technical drawings and solid models to produce a variety of complex prototype and production components? Can you use manual mills and lathes to make parts? Can you look at a part and come up with a plan to make it?
+ Conversational programming experience is a plus. Many of our machines have Conversational controls, which can also run g code, or be operated manually.
+ Exposure to complex, tight tolerance, and finely finished machined components and/or assemblies. Knowledge of Medical Device is a plus.
+ Cutting tool and toolpath knowledge.

What you'll do
+ Read blueprint or job order for product specifications such as dimensions and tolerances, and tooling instructions such as fixtures, feed rates, cutting speeds, and depth of cut.
+ Select, positions, and secure work piece (chuck, collet, or vise). Change tools, adjust offsets and tool comps to maintain required part quality.
+ Inspect products during the machining operation to determine if parts meet print specifications.
+ Observe operation of machine and verify conformance of machined workpiece to specifications.
+ Maintain equipment by completing basic preventive maintenance requirements. Reporting need for machine repairs.
+ Understand and comply with company policy safety guidelines, quality systems requirements and housekeeping standards.

**Responsibilities:**
+ Uses proper cleanser for cleaning equipment and supplies.
+ Demonstrates knowledge of equipment used for cleaning contaminated instruments and reusable items.
+ Inspects & assembles linen packs, procedure trays, and instrument packs.
+ Has knowledge of proper technique and use of all sterilizers.
+ Maintains working knowledge of chemical and biological indicators.
+ May perform shave preps on surgical patients by designated staff assigned to the Operating Room only.
+ May assist with patient transfers.
+ Identifies and reports damaged/malfunctioning equipment.
+ Receives and checks incoming items from Materials Management.
+ Stocks and checks carts.
_**May be hired as a Non-Certified Central Services Technician and will be required to be certified within 1 year of hire date.**_
Schedule: Must be able to work rotating days, weekends, and holidays. Rotating shifts including: 5:30AM-2PM, 6:30AM-3PM, 9AM-5:30PM, 12PM-8:30PM, 2:30PM-11PM. Will mostly work on the 3rd floor, but can be pulled to any other area as needed based on the needs of the hospital (ex: may at times be pulled ot the 1st floor).
+ High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
**Licensure, Certifications, and Clearances:**
+ Certified Central Services Technician by the CBSPD or other nationally recognized certification program in sterile processing and must maintain certification while in this position.
