BASIC FUNCTION:
Assemble mechanical chain hoist products in a line production environment.
GENERAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
+ Process production work orders for mechanical chain hoist products.
+ Responsible for producing acceptable work which meets or exceeds all Quality
Control Standards.

**Description**
**Job Functions:**
Performs a variety of tasks to produce a product that meets quality and operational standards. May assemble finished goods, process returns and excess materials or fill corporate sales orders.
**Accountabilities:**
• Understands and practices functions as instructed by supervisor and/or Quality Coordinator.
• Observes products on the production line during the assembly operations.
• Detects visual imperfections, improper fill levels, incorrect components and incorrect labeling to prevent a sub-standard product from being produced.
• Processes returns via the Returns System by entering the UPC information through scanning or searching the database to create UPC labels, enters status and batch information into Returns System by following the direction of the system on a PC screen for recovery or disposal.
• Observes, reaches and manipulates products and components on an assembly line/work station that may be up to 3ft high.
• Prepares material for entry in Core Inventory via PC and scanner following system directions. Packs material, prints and affixes labels and seals cartons.
• Packs Corporate Sales orders or processed returned or excess material into/from totes and pre-packs via PC directed instructions.
• Packs products into cartons utilizing bar code scanners and PC’s. Prints and inserts packing lists/packing materials and seals carton. Affixes appropriate labels to carton.
• Stands, sits or any combination thereof for a total of (4) hours during a shift.
• Inserts, feeds, folds, drops, stacks, packs components and finished goods on an assembly line and in packages, meeting quality and quantity standards.
• Follows all safety and good manufacturing practices (GMP’s).
• Performs various other duties as assigned including assisting with the training of new employees.

Job Summary
Utility assembler will assemble, check, and test a variety of mechanical and electrical assemblies for a variety of hoists and hoist related components.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
+ 1. Work with supervisor on setting daily workflow / priorities
+ 2. Read and interpret drawings and wiring diagrams
+ 3. Assemble and wire to specification
+ 4. Maintain highest quality standards - accept no defects, make no defects, pass no defects
+ 5. Communicate any challenges related to Safety, Quality, Delivery, Inventory, and Productivity (SQDIP) to supervisor
+ 6. Maintain a clean and organized workspace
+ 7. Innovate and collaborate with peers in your work area - find ways to improve SQDIP
+ 8. Volunteer for overtime as needed

Job Specifications (Work Experience, Skills, Abilities, etc.)
+ 1. Ability to read and interpret specifications, drawings and wiring schematics
+ 2. Required to do mechanical and electrical assembly of hoists, hoist components, and control panels
+ 3. Required to check, test, and trouble shoot hoists or hoist components prior to shipping
+ 4. Required to drive narrow-aisle and industrial fork trucks
+ 5. Required to paint hoists or other components
+ 6. Required to perform shipping department and storeroom duties on an as-needed basis

The Final Assembler builds final product to print by placing all necessary wiring, wiring harnesses, circuit cards and other hardware components within a chassis.
Position Responsibilities:
• Manually and precisely assembles components into a final product by following work instructions and blueprints
• Fit cable harnesses, circuit card, and components into chassis neatly and within tolerance
• Completes discrete wiring into chassis by soldering and lugging
• Utilizes correct torqueing tools and applies the correct torque during assembly
• Mixes, weighs, and applies appropriate bonding chemicals to electronic components
• Obtains and maintains J-Standard certifications
• Utilizes computer to access and input data on the ERP system, Quality system, and other manufacturing software
• Perform other duties as assigned to drive the vision, fulfill the mission, and abide by the value of this organization.

• Production Environment: Requires physical capability to work in a production environment up to 9 hours a day including; sit, stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, ability to lift up to 50 lbs. Specific vision abilities including; close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Hours 6:00 – 3:30, Monday through Thursday; Friday 6:00-2:30; occasional additional hours as needed
• 9/80 work schedule.
