We are currently seeking Production Workers for our melting department at the Brackenridge Operations in Brackenridge, Pennsylvania (suburb of Pittsburgh). ATI Production Workers are vital to our success and play a key role in meeting company goals and objectives. Successful Production Workers ensure that production requirements and standards are met consistently and are able to identify opportunities to enhance production efficiencies without compromising quality. Workplace safety is a core value and production workers play a vital role in our safe operation and processes.

As a Production Worker you must be willing to work multiple shifts, weekends, and overtime in our heavy industrial environment. Applicants must pass written tests to verify reading & math skills and electrical & mechanical aptitude.

Melting Department:

The Brackenridge Melt shop has a multi-step manufacturing process to cast metal into slabs or ingots that are used in a variety of industries. Our facility has two 110 ton Electric Arc Furnaces and a 120 ton Argon Oxygen Decarburization (AOD) vessel. The raw materials used in the melting process are coarse stainless steel scrap, turnings and slag formers. After initial melting the metal is transferred to the AOD vessel where it is subjected to three steps of refining: decarburization, reduction, and desulphurization. The AOD operation also involves refining, stirring and tapping the heat in a teeming ladle.

Production Workers in the Melt Shop can be involved in any of the following functions:

+ Pouring of the molten metal

+ Tapping the heat

+ Operating the following types of equipment: Skid steer; Fork truck; Payloader; Lull; Pendant Crane; Remote Radio-Controlled Crane; Vac truck

+ Supports and assists in maintenance activities such as: Greasing/Lubing equipment, maintenance checks on mobile equipment before operation, serves as extra hand with maintenance employees when asked.

Seeking an entry-level Conveyor Belting Technician who in is mechanically inclined. Performs splices and installation on various types of conveyor belts and components to meet customer and industry requirements. Performs other field service and warehouse tasks, as trained and required. Reports to Field Service Supervisor or Manager.

**Responsibilities**

+ Must maintain 100% commitment to safety policies and procedures

+ Works closely with Field Service Supervisors and team members in attaining goals and objectives

+ Good understanding of overall Quality process and documentation;

+ Communicate general and quality-related concerns to management;

+ Provide onsite customer service

+ Perform conveyor belt installation with mechanical or vulcanized splice

+ Understands tools and machinery applicable to the job

Job Summary:

The Meter Assembly Manager is responsible for managing the overall production activities within the organization. This role involves leading a team of production supervisors and professionals, developing and implementing production procedures, and ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations. The Meter Assembly Manager conducts regular audits, reviews production data, and collaborates with other departments to address production issues and drive continuous improvement. Key responsibilities include managing Production Supervisors, documentation, providing training and development opportunities for staff, and reporting on production performance to senior management.

Responsibilities:

+ Responsible for meeting or exceeding established manufacturing performance goals and objectives and maintenance of all required reporting documentation relative to the value streams.

+ Lead effective utilization of Lean Manufacturing concepts, tools and processes throughout value streams.

+ Research, plan, target, control, and lead continuous improvement initiatives aimed to enhance:

+ Safety

+ Quality

+ Productivity

+ Overall customer satisfaction

+ Provide leadership and support to multiple Value Stream Supervisors and Leads to:

+ administer manufacturing compliance with internally defined policies, processes and procedures while ensuring regulatory compliance.

+ execute cost effective labor management

+ collaborate with HR to administer and enforce corporate and/or local policies, rules, and requirements to include necessary corrective actions.

+ identify capital needs to support cost effective growth of the business

+ provide feedback to quality/material/procurement groups to improve supplier product performance

+ collaborate with materials team to develop short and long-term production plans

+ execute daily build plans

+ Play an active role in development, execution, and achievement of departmental budgets.

+ Demonstrate the ability to successfully work with cross functional teams and interact professionally with any level of the organization.

+ Maintain a “Customer First” focus and engage in customer interactions (internal & external) to provide a positive experience and learning for both the customer and Xylem.

Qualifications:

Associate's degree (bachelor’s degree preferred) in Business Administration, Engineering or a related field with at least 4 years' experience in a manufacturing environment. Equivalent manufacturing supervisory experience will be considered..

+ Hands-on experience in ISO, Six Sigma, and Continuous Improvement philosophies and techniques is preferred. Ability to implement LEAN and Safety initiatives as required.

+ Working knowledge of, or ability to quickly learn BPCS, Workday, MES (ShopVue) and Microsoft Office products.

+ Scope: Must exhibit good organizational skills and perform tasks with a high degree of accuracy. Ability to communicate effectively to all levels of the organization. Ability to gain and hold the respect of managers, peers and subordinates through a solid reputation built upon a positive, professional and highly ethical leadership approach. Ability to train others and work independently in a team environment with minimal supervision. Ability and desire to work overtime (daily or weekend)and flexibility to work any shift as required to support the team.

Salary range:

$70,500.00 - $126,500.00

**Job Summary:**

Follow production routing and assembly drawings to build Infrared detector onto either small metal (TO) packages or liquid nitrogen (LN2) Dewars.

**Essential Duties and Responsibilities** include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

+ Using Toolmakers microscope, position and epoxy mount detectors onto ceramic substrates within .010”

+ Working under Stereo Microscope, epoxy small components using tweezers, picks and other small hand tools.

+ Using manual gold wire bonder, wirebond detectors, substrates and packages.

+ Hand soldering and RF soldering of small components and wires.

+ Take accurate and precise measurements.

**Qualifications & Competencies**

To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following qualifications and competencies:

+ Working knowledge of the operation of bonding and assembly

+ Understanding and demonstrated knowledge of the following:

+ Read and comprehend instructions and follow established procedures.

+ Manual gold wire bonding

+ Hand soldering/RF soldering

+ Assembly

+ Epoxy applications

+ ESD handling

+ Proven experienced assembler

+ Possess good manual dexterity

+ Detail oriented. Organized and maintain clear and accurate record keeping

+ Team oriented with strong sense of urgency

+ Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills

+ Basic computer proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel

+ Displays exemplary ethics and business conduct and performs work cognizant of safe work practices

+ Ability to travel (domestically/internationally) approximately 0%.

**Education and/or Experience**

+ HS Diploma & 10-15 years of experience

+ Experience in one or more of the following areas:

+ Ability to read drawings

+ Wire bonding

+ Soldering and Assembly
