SUMMARY
This position is responsible for operating welding equipment to build high quality parts, subassemblies, and finished product. Weldements vary in type, size, and direction and are performed on a variety of production lines.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Position general responsibilities are as follows:
1. Must receive a passing score on the Welder Qualification test and recertify skills as required by program guidelines
2. Operate an overhead crane to maneuver parts safely into place
3. Adjust welding current to proper weld configurations
4. Heats and forms metal parts and components using hand tools, torch or welding equipment
5. Welds components in flat, vertical or overhead positions
6. Accurately operate and read measuring devices
7. Assemble and weld various metal parts together
8. Properly position material/parts to be welded
9. Train and work in various areas of production in response to production demands
10. Follow verbal and written work instructions including ability to read blue prints
11. Attention to detail necessary to adhere to quality standards
12. Maintain a safe and clean work environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations
13. Work in both team and individual settings
14. Regular attendance required

The Welder must be qualified on multiple weld processes to include FCAW in horizontal and vertical positions. This position will perform the highest quality of welding on carbon and stainless steel on all types of products and materials using various types of automatic, semi-automatic or manual welding equipment.

+ Perform work in a safe manner and follow all safety regulations including wearing all required personal protection equipment (PPE) producing high quality work.

DESCRIPTION
Position at JBS USA Food Company
QUALITY ASSURANCE TECH I - 1st SHIFT - SOUDERTON, PA
+ Monitor SOP's, SSOP's and GMP compliance of associates, perform HACCP procedures to comply with federal regulations
+ Perform Pre-shipment inspection on product and trailers. This may include: lifting and opening of boxes, scanning and printing of labels.
+ Have contact with USDA and present records to them at the agency's request
+ Review records to ensure accuracy and be held accountable to their accuracy
+ Aid QA supervision and management in gathering data and investigating items outside of regular technician responsibilities
+ Work closely with Shipping and production associates in monitoring product for specifications, and correcting specifications deficiencies
+ Be able to come up with solutions to problems and be able to work for periods without supervision
+ Monitor the implementation of food safety and quality procedures on the floor, report deficiencies and correct them.
+ Extended walking and standing in a cold/freezing environment
+ Other duties assigned.
Work Hours: Work during the production hours in the fabrication floor. Usual shift: 8.5 hours or more, 5 to 6 days a week, this is subject to change on a day by day basis, depending on the situation. May be asked to trade shifts with other technicians or come in at a specific time outside of normal hours.
