    **Job Description:**

    **About the Role:**

    The Machine Operator role at the Hanover location reports to the Packing Room Supervisor and takes day-to-day direction from the Lead Machine Operator. You’ll add value to this role by performing various functions including, but not limited to:

    + Ensures that production standards are met by: operating all packing room machines at specified efficiency (speed). Packing room machines include: Hayssens, box machines, box tapers, stretch wrapper, diverter gates, case labelers and sonic sensors.

    + Determines upcoming production needs by studying production sheet to anticipate changeovers and assigned products to machines. Uses this information to have correct film, co-dates, stickers, hot stamps, etc. ready for next order.

    + Maintains specifications by observing operations, detecting malfunctions and inspecting product for pleats, leakers, holes, registration, and code-dates to keep within specified bag waste limits.

    + Ensures product specifications by completing weight checks on packing lines.

    + Other duties as assigned

    **Important Details:** This is a full-time permanent role on Crew 3, which operates from 7:00p to 7:00a Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, every other Saturday **.** Availability to work Overtime when needed. **$26.01 /hr shift differential included** .

    **Graham Packaging Company is looking for a Machine Operator based in York, PA. This position is a day shift position 7am-7pm on a 2/2/3 rotating schedule (working every other weekend).**

    The Operator is responsible for operating a given number of plastic blow molding machines (including in-line equipment), and makes necessary adjustments or minor repairs to ensure production of containers is made in a safe, efficient and high quality manner. The primary duties of an Operator include:

    + Understands, follows and enforces all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices.

    + Understands, follows and enforces all established policies, procedures and recognized practices.

    + Participate in continuous quality improvement projects and other related activities as assigned

    + Operate a group of plastic blow molding machines and auxiliary equipment producing a container in a safe and high quality method.

    + Perform and/or assists in mold, insert and color changes on the line.

    + Perform basic processing of injection and/or blow molding machines to improve machine efficiency and reduce scrap.

    The Operator is responsible for operating a given number of plastic blow molding machines (including in-line equipment), and makes necessary adjustments or minor repairs to ensure production of containers is made in a safe, efficient and high quality manner. The primary duties of an Operator include:

    + Understands, follows and enforces all established safety, health, quality GMP and Company policies, procedures and recognized practices.

    + Participate in continuous quality improvement projects and other related activities as assigned

    + Operate a group of plastic blow molding machines and auxiliary equipment producing a container in a safe and high quality method.

    + Perform basic processing of injection and/or blow molding machines to improve machine efficiency and reduce scrap.

    + Make frequent on time quality checks on products being produced from established quality standards.
