**What do we want to know about you?**
**REQUIRED EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS**
+ High School Diploma or GED
+ This position requires accuracy and responsibility for many duties and must be performed without close supervision.
+ Training and/or experience using measuring equipment and reading of drawing is needed.
+ Minium 2-years’ experience in CNC operation and 2 years of conventional machining.
+ Working knowledge of cutting tools and materials.
**What will your typical day look like?**
+ Sets up, adjusts and operates standard and special types of machine tools.
+ Performs varied machining operations largely on standard work having close tolerance and finish specifications.
+ Capable of performing edits to CNC programs.
+ Capable of measuring parts utilizing micrometers, calipers, depth gages, height gage, etc.

+ Have the ability to routinely lift up to 40 pounds
+ Be able to stand for extended periods
+ Basic reaching, crouching, bending

The hourly rate for this role is in the range of $23.00 - $26.00 per hour. The actual salary offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors, such as: training, transferable skills, work experience, education, business needs, market demands and work location. **Job Overview**
TE Connectivity's Machinist Team's responsibilities include, assignment planning, layout, set up, operating and making tool adjustments for various types of manual, numerically controlled and computerized machine shop equipment. They work from blueprints, process sheets and sketches to perform production tasks, which may include the cutting and shaping of metal to precision dimensions, communicating directly with engineers to understand the purpose of a part assembly. Inspect, service, repair and maintain diesel locomotives.
**Primary Responsibilities**
+ Perform daily and periodic inspections, servicing, and maintenance on diesel-electric locomotives, including but not limited to performing scheduled and preventative maintenance as determined by company policy and federal regulation.
