    Parker Lord has immediate openings for Aerospace Precision Machinists at the Robison Road facility in Erie, PA within the Post Bond Machining department. The Aerospace Precision Machinist is responsible for performing machining operations to achieve quality products with high level workmanship. Machinists perform operations that include setup and run for low volume production.

    This position falls within the scope of the FAA Drug and Alcohol program which includes a random testing program and successful completion of an FAA pre-employment drug screen.

    Candidates must be able to work off shift (2nd or 3rd) for an extended period of time.

    + Machining high value aerospace products to support the main value streams at the Parker LORD Erie facility.

    + Work to very close tolerances and ultra-fine finishes on rubber to metal bonded products, forgings and castings.

    + Inspection of finish machined parts (sheet metal products, raw materials, forgings, assemblies, etc.) using a wide variety of precision measuring instruments to determine conformance to specifications and drawings.

    + Daily interaction with other machinists to share best practices and support smooth shift changeover.

    + Complete all manufacturing paperwork and computer transactions accurately and timely.

    + Cross-training on various machines to facilitate continued machinist growth and support production needs.

    + Demonstrate a strong commitment to safety and quality.

    CNC Operator Machinist Job Responsibilities:

    Produces machined parts by programming, setting up, and operating a computer numerical control (CNC) machine; maintaining quality and safety standards; keeping records; maintaining equipment and supplies.
