Cadrex is searching for a CNC Machinist II who will play a pivotal role in our manufacturing operations by efficiently operating and maintaining CNC machinery. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

+ Operate CNC machines to produce components, monitoring machining processes, and making real-time adjustments as needed for optimal performance

Job Description

Under direction of Lead Mechanical Welder/Machinist , performs a wide variety of duties relating to machine shop operations; lays out and sets up machine work on engine lathes, drill presses, shaper, boring mill, milling machine, grinders, band saws, knife grinders, roll grinder and benchwork; uses hand tools, and variety of machinist tools; insures safety of self, others, and equipment in all work areas.

Role and Responsibilities

Produces replacement parts and makes repairs to production equipment or parts, as assigned, using any or all of the above captioned machine shop Equipment or tools.

+ Sets up and determines feed rate, speed, tooling and tool grinding, according to work being performed, type metal, etc., to complete work in an efficient manner.

+ Works from drawings or part samples; performs entire sequence of operations necessary to produce finished work.

+ Learn and perform PM/PDM tasks and best work practices.

+ Promotes Good housekeeping and 6S standards.

+ Provides all required feedback when the job has been completed.

+ Promotes Safety and Environmental Awareness on all jobs. Required to hold a five minute safety briefing discussion before starting any job.

+ Uses precision tools and instruments for measuring and for holding tolerances to as close as 0.0001 of an inch.

+ Machines parts for other trades as needed or for placing in stores.

+ Operates roll grinder and knife grinders as directed.

Repairs turbines and boiler feed water pumps; performs other comparable and related duties as directed; insures safety of self and others by consistently following safety procedures in accordance with good housekeeping and mill safety standards.

Attends and participates in the appropriate training for the use of fire extinguishing equipment and notification procedures should a small, containable fire ignite in the work area.

Machinist Location: Archbald, PA Job ID: #69783 Pay Range: $24-28 Job Description:

+ Tasks range from setting up and operating plain or universal, horizontal, or vertical milling machines to perform machining operations such as compound angles and contours; boring compound angular holes; doing helical and spiral milling; serrating; and gear, spine, and keyway cutting to exacting tolerances.

+ May select, mount, and align various specialized machine attachments and standard or improvised tooling, plan sequence of operations, number of cuts required, and method of setup; determine, set, and adjust speeds, feeds, and depth of cut.

+ Interprets blueprints, sketches, and engineering specifications; uses a variety of machinist's hand tools and precision measuring instruments; makes standard shop computations; and measures, marks, and scribes dimensions and reference points to lay out stock for machining.

+ May monitor and verify quality in accordance with statistical process or other control procedures.

Minimum Requirements:

+ G and M code knowledge for part program troubleshooting and editing.

+ Ability to pre-set tool lengths .

+ Proficient at GD&T. (Geometric dimensioning and tolerancing)

+ Experience with Mazak and Fanuc controls.

+ Ability to perform complex machining calculations.
