Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seek candidates for an Assistant Professor position in the non-tenure research track. Expertise is required in the specific area of development of MEG methods for source localization and spectrotemporal analysis. The successful individual is expected to conduct MEG studies on human subjects using advanced MEG techniques, hardware and analysis. The candidate should have outstanding productivity in both technical and collaborative research as well as a track record of productive independent research (via grant and publication history). Experience in pediatric neuroimaging would be very beneficial. Applicants must have a Ph.D. or M.D./Ph.D. degree. The applicant must be an expert in magnetoencephalography (MEG) and hold a degree in physics, medical physics, biophysics, electrical engineering, biomedical engineering, physical chemistry, cognitive neuroscience or a related field.

Research or scholarship responsibilities may include the study of neurological and psychiatric diseases of the developing brain. Extensive collaborative opportunities will include the Lurie Family Foundation’s MEG Imaging Center, the Lifespan Brain Institute, the Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neurology, Division of Neonatology, Department of Psychiatry at CHOP and the Departments of Biostatistics, Epidemiology, and Informatics, Neurology, Psychiatry, and Radiology at Penn.
