**Position Summary** **:**

The Production Assistant is responsible for providing manufacturing process support for Anodizing department. This effort includes, but is not limited to, visually inspecting anodized, ultrasonic cleaned, and passivation parts. This individual works with other production assistants and manager to ensure parts are anodized correctly to be assembled and shipped out.

**Essential Functions** **:**

+ Anodizes, Electro-polishes, Ultrasonic Cleaning and Passivation of parts

+ Racks and un-racks the parts

+ Dries off parts with compressed air

+ Unpacks and packs finished products

+ Visually inspects own work

+ Verifies incoming/outgoing product counts

+ Follows verbal and written instructions such as blueprints, travelers, SOP's

+ General and periodic maintenance of the above-mentioned processing lines

+ General housekeeping of shop area

+ Adheres to the letter and spirit of the company Code of Conduct, the AdvaMed Code, MedTech Code, and all other company policies

+ Ensures Compliance with applicable governmental laws, rules, and regulations, both in the United States and internationally, by completing introductory and annual training and maintaining knowledge of compliance as it applies to your role

+ Represents the company in a professional manner and uphold the highest standards of ethical business practices and socially responsible conduct in all interactions with other employees, customers, suppliers, and other third parties

**Qualifications** **:**

+ High school diploma or equivalent

+ Must be able to stand for extended periods of time

+ Must be able to work diligently around chemicals

+ Must be able to perform basic arithmetic

+ To work under the directions of the production supervisor

+ Must be able to lift 40 lbs

+ Must be able to pass an eye exam including a color-blind test

+ Willingness and commitment to wear PPE regularly, including:

+ Safety goggles while on the shop floor

+ Chemical resistant gloves while changing chemicals

+ Long sleeved chemical resistant gloves while changing chemicals

+ Chemical resistant safety aprons while working on the shop floor

+ Appropriately fitted respirator masks while changing chemicals

+ Experience with plating or finishing processes is a plus

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

+ Attention to detail

+ Self-starter

+ Advanced critical thinking and problems-solving skills

+ Proficiency in using Microsoft Office products

+ Required to sit; climb or balance; and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.

+ Required to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.

+ Required to possess specific vision abilities, including close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and capacity to adjust focus.
