Local Procurement Manager

**Job Description**

Reporting to the Sr. Director of Local Procurement, the Manager of Local Procurement is responsible for managing within their assigned region and procurement categories the sourcing strategy development, supplier selection, contract negotiations, supplier relationship, risk management and local supplier sourcing alinged with Aramark Managed Services lines of businessess (LOB) needs. With the direction and support of the Director of Local Procurement, the Manager of Local Procurement develops and drives contract programs with a focus on Efficiency, Effectiveness (most optimal Total Delivered Cost), Commercialization, Business Continuity and Food Safety. The Manager of Local Procurement will also collaborate closely with others on the team to drive program growth and engagement with our Supplier Diversity, Sustainable Sourcing and Farmer Engagement focused intiatives (ie BIPOC and local community funded grants).

This position is based in Philadelphia, PA.

**Job Responsibilities**

SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE MANAGER, LOCAL PROCUREMENT INCLUDE:

? Build and manage supplier relationships, including regional, local, small, diverse owned businesses

? Utilize strategic sourcing processes to identify, evaluate and select new suppliers

? Negotiate and finalize supplier contracts

? Identify and initiate productivity projects and improved cost efficiencies across the assigned supply base

? Be an active part of the sales and retention efforts by providing local supply chain solutions

? Work collaboratively across the Procurement and Supply Chain organization to help achieve enterprise targets including growth agenda, SKU rationalization, supplier diversity, sustainability commitments, local sourcing, product innovation, brand development, field facing communication and guidance development

? Assist with resolving supplier issues - e.g., quality issues, material availability, exceptional charges due to extraordinary requests to supplier, etc.

? Assist with supplier communication development

? Work with other internal stakeholders to support and track client local or regional sourcing goals that align with enterprise sustainability initiatives (i.e., local purchasing goals, tracking economic impact, and tracking mechanisms with local farms)

? Collaborate with procurement (Aramark Supply Chain & Avendra GPO) to close gaps for local sourcing needs and support building a cohesive procurement strategy to support proactive future business needs

? Coordinate with supply chain and procurement colleagues on developing training resources, and communication channels for local procurement content dissemination to the field and growth teams (i.e., Business Resource Center, MarketPRO or Qlik enhancements)

? Provide analytical support for strategy worksheets, RFP, contract negotiations, deal

templates, and procurement program analysis

? Upon request, attend industry conferences and support managing external industry partnership relationships

? Perform ad hoc requests and participate in special projects as assigned

**Qualifications**

Ideal candidates will possess a bachelor?s degree in Economics/Business/Supply Chain/Finance coupled with minimum 5 years of experience in foodservice industry, procurement, or supply chain. Strong attention to detail and the ability to prioritizing multiple projects concurrently is essential in this role.

? Superior analytical, problem-solving, organization, and communication skills are required

? Excellent Microsoft Office skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint

? Experience in BI Tools (i.e., Qlik, Tableau, PowerBI)

? Have experience in conducting comprehensive supplier analysis and screening, analyzing supplier proposals, and using decision-making tools/models, including financial and non-financial criteria, to support negotiations and facilitate award recommendations

? Accomplished in working within a matrix environment, building strong cross-functional and cross-regional relationships

? Experience with Distribution and Logistics capabilities, processes, procedures and KPI?s

? Experience contributing to internal policy development, training, and processes

? Knowledge and experience with emerging sustainability issues including, animal welfare, agriculture, seafood and local food systems as well as knowledge of Food Safety Requirements for Distributors and Agricultural Farms

? Knowledge and experience with supplier diversity sourcing and developing Small, Women and Minority owned businesses
