The CTT Clinician I will provide comprehensive mental health services in community settings, such as homes, hospitals, and personal care homes, to residents of Allegheny County. The role involves delivering intense outpatient mental health treatment to consumers with serious and persistent mental illness. Responsibilities include assisting with consumer and clinical services, answering questions, obtaining clinical information, scheduling evaluations, responding to telephone crises, and documenting all activities. The position operates 24/7/365. CTT is a team-based model implementing evidence-based practices, TMACT score of 4.9 out of 5 – highest score in Allegheny County, community base service
**_CTT Clinician I, II, and III candidates will be considered for this role. The title and pay rate (minimum rate for CTT Clinician I is $21.22; CTT Clinician II is $22.92 ; CTT Clinician III is $23.94) for these positions may vary depending on education level and years of experience._**
**Responsibilities:**
+ May facilitate or co-lead small groups of consumers/or significant others to increase understanding of consumer issues and to improve coping skills and performance of activities of daily living.
+ Maintain accuracy and completeness of patient records in compliance with institutional standards.
+ Provide insight & knowledge of insurance programs, processes and able to obtain authorizations as needed.
+ Submit documentation that is professional in content and appearance by established deadlines.
+ Assist consumer to set goals and plan to meet those goals based on consumer's strengths, needs, interests and cultural preferences
+ Participate in 24 hour on call rotation.
+ Participate in team meetings in a collaborative manner.
+ Provide consultation and direct assistance to the DEC or community ER staff in the case of at risk consumers presenting for treatment, emphasizing safe diversion from inpatient stays in accordance with ACT models of care.
+ Assist consumers to obtain and maintain culturally appropriate basic living needs through skills such as: food, medical care, recreation, education, and employment, through referral and assertive follow-up, advocacy, and problem resolution.
+ Participate in working weekend rotation.
+ Maintain a minimum productivity rate of 55%.
+ Complete consumer/family crisis assessments.
+ Collaborate with team members to provide needed services to coordinate with other community agencies.
+ Work efficiently and independently.
+ Participate in and/or completes a comprehensive assessment of identified clients. This includes social history, psychiatric history, and mental status exams.
+ Provide services in a community and/or office setting.
+ Provide therapeutic interventions with fidelity to the ACT model of care and using evidenced based practices.
+ Support consumer and negotiates appropriate referral services.
+ Serve as primary case coordinator for a caseload of 10-15 individuals/families yet may work with any member/family on the active caseload as needed.
+ Provide quality care to consumers following the Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) Model of mental health care delivery.
+ Utilize specific techniques of motivational interviewing.
+ Support consumer's WRAP plan.
+ Act as an advocate for the consumer and/or family and provides advocacy for consumers, including 302 another involuntary commitment proceedings, guardianship, and custody proceedings.
+ Assist consumer in developing a crisis, relapse, and service plan.
+ Responsible for learning, continuing education, and implementation of ACT standards of care.
+ Participate in outreach visits to consumers in various housing/living situations.
+ Manage crisis situations effectively using positive approaches.
+ Provide follow-up services to consumers by phone.
+ Provide supportive counseling to consumers to promote stability.
**CTT Clinician I:**
+ Bachelor's Degree in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work **WITH** three years of clinical experience
+ **OR** Master's Degree in Psychology, Counseling, or Social Work required.
+ Other fields of study may be considered with coursework of at least 12 credits in human services and/or relevant mental health experience.
+ Work history that includes phone triage, as well as in-depth knowledge and proven skill at doing psychiatric assessments.
+ Experience in mental health crisis intervention, case management, or in-home therapy preferred.
+ Excellent, recovery-oriented interpersonal relations.
+ Ability to work shifts, weekends, and holidays, and to assume on-call responsibilities.
+ May in the course of their duties be in rooms where medications are stored or may transport medications when they transport patients. Transportation of medication is limited from one department to another.
**CTT Clinician II:**
+ Masters Degree in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work **WITH** three years clinical experience.
+ In lieu of this, Bachelors Degree in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work **WITH** five years clinical experience **AND** three years crisis experience will be considered.
+ Other fields of study may be considered with coursework of at least 12 credits in human services and/or relevant mental health experience.
+ Work history that includes phone triage, as well as an in depth knowledge and proven skill at doing psychiatric assessments.
+ Experience in mental health crisis intervention, case management, or in home therapy preferred.
+ Excellent, recovery-oriented interpersonal relations.
+ Ability to work shifts, weekends, holidays, and to assume on call responsibilities.
+ May in the course of their duties be in rooms where medications are stored or may transport medications when they transport patients. Transportation of medication is limited from one department to another.
**CTT Clinician III:**
+ Masters Degree in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work **AND** four years of mental health experience, supervisory experience preferred.
+ In lieu of this, Bachelors Degree in Psychology, Counseling or Social Work **WITH** six years clinical experience with three years crisis experience will be considered.
+ Other fields of study may be considered with coursework of at least 12 credits in human services.
+ License in Social Work or in Professional Counseling **_preferred_** .
+ Work history requires in-depth knowledge and proven skill at psychiatric assessments.
+ Experience in mental health crisis intervention, case management, or in-home therapy **_preferred_**
+ A minimum of two years of administrative/supervisory experience **_preferred_**
+ Certified peer specialist supervisor (or obtain certification within 6 months of hire) **_preferred_**
