This is a regular, full-time position that works daylight hours, Monday through Friday. This position offers some remote work flexibility after completing training at the US Steel Tower in downtown Pittsburgh.

The Onboarding Associate is responsible for administering a variety of operational, recruitment, and employment related tasks in support of talent acquisition services and operations. They complete all adjudication components prior to a candidates targeted start date to ensure all employment contingencies have been successfully met, including clearance of all background check components, pre-employment health assessment requirements, and licensure/certification requirements. This role interacts with a wide range of internal customers at all levels as well as external candidates seeking job opportunities with UPMC.

**Responsibilities:**

+ Complete all adjudication components prior to a candidates targeted start date to ensure all employment contingencies have been successfully met, including clearance of all background check components, pre-employment health assessment requirements, licensure/certification requirements, and position contracts.

+ Ensure process compliance in accordance with all federal, state, and local government regulations along with meeting requirements and standards of UPMC.

+ Maintain an in-depth understanding of industry regulations and procedures to ensure a compliant process, including regulations from the Department of Health, The Joint Commission, The Department of Aging, The Department of Education, and The Department of Human Services.

+ Must maintain confidentiality at all times.

+ Assist candidates with scheduling their pre-employment health assessments within an acceptable timeframe and verify results to ensure successful completion.

+ Accurately submit, track, and adjudicate background and reference checks within an acceptable timeframe, including providing comprehensive notes within the background check system.

+ Partner with Payroll to process all pay contracts, including sign-on, relocation, PTO advance, and employee referral bonuses.

+ Provide candidate updates to all appropriate team members as necessary.

+ Partner with the HRIS Data Entry team to process and data enter all recruitment transactions.

+ Provide exceptional service as point of contact for general candidate, employee, and customer inquiries.

+ Determine all onboarding requirements for candidates including background check, clearance, licensure/certification, pre-employment health assessment, and orientation requirements.

+ Create, maintain and ensure appropriate retention of departmental documentation including employee files.

+ Support new hire orientation and onboarding activities as requested.

+ Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business or a related field required.

+ OR High School Diploma/GED and two years of applicable experience required.

+ OR completion of the UPMC Summer Associates program/Pittsburgh Fellows program required.

+ Human resources work experience is preferred.

+ Attention to detail, with skills in customer service required Proficiency in Microsoft products, Taleo, PeopleSoft, and other HRIS systems preferred
