Shipping & Receiving Technician

6am-2:30pm, Mon-Fri

Job Summary:

The Shipping and Receiving Technician is responsible for managing the shipping, receiving, and inventory processes to ensure timely and accurate delivery of materials and goods. This includes preparing shipments, loading/unloading various transport vehicles, and maintaining warehouse cleanliness and organization in compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Coordinate and execute shipping, receiving, and inventory tasks, ensuring proper labeling, documentation, and timely delivery.

+ Load and unload box trailers, liquid bulk tankers, and overseas containers.

+ Transport materials within the facility to prepare for shipping and receiving.

+ Maintain cleanliness and organization of warehouse areas and equipment.

+ Participate in physical inventory counts and ensure accurate records.

+ Respond to internal inquiries related to shipping and receiving activities.

+ Adhere to safety, environmental, and health standards, participating in related training and inspections.

+ Perform additional tasks and projects as assigned.

Qualifications:

+ High school diploma or equivalent (GED).

+ Previous warehousing experience, preferably in a chemical manufacturing environment.

+ Knowledge of hazardous materials handling and basic DOT/OSHA regulations.

+ Forklift/tow motor certification or relevant experience.

+ Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

+ Proficiency in Microsoft Office; SAP knowledge is a plus.

+ Ability to work flexible shifts, including overtime and weekends.

Key Work Relationships:

+ Logistics & Supply Chain personnel (Inventory and Customer Service).

+ Manufacturing and production teams.

+ External logistics providers and vendors.

Preferred Certifications:

+ DOT/IATA certification for shipping products.
