Vice President, Corporate Strategy
POSITION PROFILE
The Vice President, Corporate Strategy will lead strategic planning with a focus on inspiring growth and increased business in diverse markets, in collaboration with leadership. The Vice President, Corporate Strategy is responsible for strategy or direction development and monitoring key initiatives and figures to manage this company as North Americas.
Through this role, this position will be key in new business and organic growth with current Ricoh customers across North America. They will provide thought leadership on trends, challenges and opportunities in the marketplace, among segment consumer groups and diverse communities.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
+ Lead and execute strategic planning initiatives
+ Define and design management reviews to understand challenges and set appropriate counter measures with relevant stake holders.
+ Develop and standardize processes to manage corporate performance.
+ Manage and mentor a team of strategic planners
+ Inspire creative strategy and insights
+ Responsible for qualitative and quantitative modes of research
+ Responsible for tools and platforms to stay ahead of key consumer trends
+ Manages several projects at once across planning team workflow
+ Support EMT, Ops Review, Monthly Review with RCL
+ Find factors of issues through fact base analysis and qualitative data.
+ Communicates complex creative themes clearly and concisely
+ Manage progress of initiatives, create KPIs, timeline, ROI and quality with project managers
+ Escalate to EMT as appropriate
QUALIFICATIONS (Education, Experience, and Certifications)
+ 8+ years in strategic planning experience is a must
+ Working knowledge of comms planning as a discipline is a plus
+ Bachelor's degree from a four-year college or university
+ Experience of strategy development
+ Experience of corporate management as a corporate staff
KNOWLEDGE, Skills And Abilities
+ Ability to both lead and execute strategic planning initiatives
+ Experience managing and mentoring a team of strategic planners
+ Proven experience in inspiring creative strategy and insights
+ Working knowledge of a qualitative and quantitative modes of research
+ Working knowledge of tools and platforms including social listening tools to stay ahead of key consumer trends
+ Excellent verbal, written, presentation and interpersonal skills
+ Ability to manage several projects at once across planning team workflow
+ Ability to communicate complex creative themes clearly and concisely
+ Team oriented
+ Well-organized
+ Ability to make decisions based on overall balance
+ A mindset that is not afraid of confrontation in order to move in the right direction
+ Knowledge of financial structure

**Working Conditions, MENTAL aND PHYSICAL DEMANDS**
+ Typically, an office environment with adequate lighting and ventilation, and a normal range of temperature and noise level
+ Work assignments are diversified. Interpret, comprehend and apply complex material, data and instruction – prepare, provide and convey diversified information
+ Minimal physical effort required. Work is mostly sedentary but does require walking, standing, bending, reaching, lifting or carrying objects that typically with less than 10 lbs. (e.g., papers, books, files and small parts, etc.). Moderate dexterity – regular application of basic skills (calculator, keyboard, hand tools, eye/hand coordination)
+ Moderate regional and national travel required
